greek philosophy / stoicism transformed my life (Interview with meredith kunz, silicon valley stoic)25/12/2018 Interview by Meredith, Kunz, a prominent blogger on Stoicism, from Silicon Valley. Her writing has been published in Newsweek, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Industry Standard, California Lawyer, Stanford Business, Stanford Report, Stanford Benefactor, Biomedical Computation Review, San Francisco Daily Journal, Artweek, and more. She earned my undergraduate degree at Harvard and her master's at Stanford. In this interview, I answer some questions regarding how Stoicism entered my life from a young age, due to my father. He was born in a mountain village of Sparta, which was burned by the Nazis in WWII, and joined the resistance at age fifteen. In the late 60's he was sent to a concentration camp for fighting against the Greek Military Junta in 1967, and later got political asylum in Canada. He introduced me to Greek philosophers like Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, but more importantly, his way of raising my sister and me i.e. the values he instilled in us, led to mental resilience and self-discipline. References to Donald Robertson and Ryan Holiday's books etc.. Enjoy reading, and I am happy to read about how YOU discovered Greek philosophy or practice Stoicism etc. From Athens, Greece This is Alkistis, Your Confidence & Self Leadership

Welcome Lover of Wisdom... In this guided meditation, you will learn one of the central lessons of being a Stoic, which is to focus on yourself i.e. focus on those things that you can change for example your own thoughts and actions. As a result, you become more resilient and less prone to anxiety, leading to better results. Inspired from The Enchiridion of Greek philosopher, Epictetus. Whatever it may be... Greek Philosophy can liberate you. Today we learn about the teachings of Epictetus, a Stoic philosopher... His teachings were written down and published by his pupil Arrian in his Discourses and "The Enchiridion", a manual including 3 vital lessons, in order to finally be FREE of our self-induced enslavement. As always, I am happy to read your comments. This is ALKISTIS, from Athens, Greece TAKE CHARGE (get my book on AMAZON) Love: Are you getting the right type of love?
