In today's episode, we put to practice, of de-cluttering out life. One day as Socrates, was walking through the 'agora' (ie shopping mall), he recorded to have said, "How many things I can do without!" Socrates and the Stoics believe that we should generally practice 'volontary simplicity'.
With this in mind, walk into any room of your home and focus on 10 random objects. As you consider each, ask yourself (1) Do I truly need it?; (2) Do I truly adore it?; and, (3) Would I trade inner peace for this? Before throwing anything away, take time to be grateful for what that 'thing' has offered you.
Clearing out is also on a physical (our body) level. This week focus on de-toxing; Drink many liquids and vegetables, and perhaps even try fasting.
Lastly, focus on de-cluttering your thoughts, by doing meditation and changing old 'narratives' that are holding you back. Spring is the ideal time for this de-cluttering and it helps us to find inner FREEDOM. Enjoy the process ! Sincerely, Alkistis
